Drawing with chance.

Drawing with chance was ultimatly finding a way to draw without using a pencil and paper which we would normally associate with drawing. This was a new tecnique for me and showed me a new way to approach drawing and also gave me a new and different concept of what drawing is.
This was my first attempt at drawing with chance. For this piece i used red and black ink and to draw with i used my necklace that i made of can pull offs. I dipped this into the ink and just the the necklace sway round in a circle. I left it up to chance when directing the necklace letting it sway freely. After i had done the red ink i stood the paper up while the ink was still wet as i though the dripping would create interesting patterns. Then after i applied the black ink i blew the ink inwards which created a really effective pattern.

My main idea for drawing with chance was to use static television images and to go over the pixels with coloured pencils as the patterns created were completely chance as know one controls the way the pixels go. I mounted them on paper in sort of a film strip and then used colours such as red, green and blue to draw around pixels. After this i used 2 of the images that were different kinds of static and went over the patterns on assitate which wasn't as successful.
